An Associate Tutor shall perform the following Services:

1) Act as first point of contact for students on the applicable modules.
2) Encourage and engage with the students in all aspects of the individual module and wider Programme
3) Ensure the accuracy and accessibility of module materials.
4) Monitor module discussion boards and encourage students to engage with one another through the online discussion forums.
5) Post a weekly synopsis of the topics covered in the module and a summary of discussion.
6) Attend training as required by the Programme Director.
7) Respond to student queries within 48 hours and no later than 72 hours of students raising enquiries; and refer on any matters to the Programme Director/Deputy Programme Director.
8) Encourage students to submit all their e-tivities on time.
9) Provide feedback to students as part of e-tivities 1, 2, 3, and 5, with their mark within the required deadlines. The marking deadline for e-tivities 1,2,3 and 5 is no later than seven days.
10) If a specific need arrives, provide feedback sessions covering problem areas encountered by students. 11) Act as a Second Marker in other modules if required.
12) Inform the Programme Director about student progress and areas of concern on a regular basis, and contribute to Associate Tutor blogs/reports.
13) Notify the Programme Director/Deputy Programme Director of any problems or concerns that arise with the access to the learning materials or the environment.
14) Mark, in accordance with the appropriate criteria, e-tivity 4 and e-tivity 6.
a, Provide appropriate detailed feedback to accompany the marks.
15) Marking of e-tivities to be completed within two weeks of receipt. 16) Respond to students seeking clarification of feedback promptly. |
